There's no other "job" I have ever enjoyed more than this one. Madame Butterfly Creations has opened doors I never imagined I would be going through. The excitement, the trust my clients give me, and the pure joy I and my clients get when a project is completed is unexplainable.
So, I introduce to you my latest transformation.
This girl was a little different then any chair I have done before because of the detail. My client found her and got a smoking deal. Some of her had seen better days and was loved in her previous life.
The first thing needed was to be stripped of all of her old fabric. Have you ever seen a chair naked? You always find goodies in chairs when you take them apart. I've found keys, toys, receipts..... I've always wondered their story and who was missing them.
Her new home has a beautiful shabby chic design and she needed to match. I've only worked with Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint a little before but this chair definitely needed a chippy look. Thats what Miss Mustards Milk paint is known for and it worked out perfectly!

Once her fabric was on it was time for the detail. My first vision was a twisted cord detail. After trying out different trims I decided to go with this beautiful scroll braided trim. It just fit best.
And that was it. My job was finished. The transformation of a Vintage Arm Chair.
