Painting Fun with Madame Butterfly Chalky Paint & Carrie's Rustic Rubbish

Craft nights are my weakness and I never get as much done as I would like because of all the fun we have. I brought a dresser and a table but only got majority of the dresser done.

Before

This craft night I had the pleasure of working together with Carrie's Rustic Rubbish. Her visions always amaze me. Carrie is really good at seeing a vision and going for it without much thought. Her color layering was phenomenal.

Carrie painted this antique sewing table with MB Mustard Seed and Mint Condition.

We even got both of our sisters in on the action

My sister was our "special" helper that night! We laughed so hard. "Hey you guyyyyyys" -The Goonies. Haha! (you probably had to be there)

I have been hoarding this dresser for some time going back and forth on what I was going to do with it. My inspiration was a constant Marilyn Monroe theme.

Caught in action painting in MB Chalky Paint "Marilyn". First coat went on beautifully!

Of course I did not finish but hopefully will soon. I am excited to get it all finished. Here are some of our completed projects-

 Carrie's Rustic Rubbish
Picture frame painted in Country Coral

Antique sewing machine painted in Mustard Seed and Mint condition distressed to show the dark wood through the paint.

Caitie had never used chalk paint before and I think she did a pretty dang good job. She tackled some big pieces for her first time and used techniques she didn't even know were techniques. I was impressed! For the cabinet she used Aqua Pura and Country Coral. We didn't have any razor blades so the glass stayed painted for the night.

She gave her coffee table and side table a new rustic look by layering Mustard Seed and Mint Condition and distressing.

Furniture Painting classes are being held a few times month if you would like to learn how to bring your pieces to life. We will be going over furniture painting techniques, how to pick pieces, how to seal your newly painted piece, and much more. You bring what you would like to paint and the rest is provided including an 8 oz bottle of Madame Butterfly Chalky Paint.
